Global Jet Capital’s dedication to providing simple solutions for business aircraft financing was recognized by the Asian business aviation community at the 2019 Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) Icons of Aviation (IOA) Awards gala in Hong Kong with the ‘Best Business Service Provider’ award. We’re incredibly honored to receive this award alongside such extraordinary industry peers and nominees.
We would also like to congratulate Violet Kwek, Global Jet Capital Sales Director of Greater China and North Asia, on her nomination for the ‘Trailblazer of the Year’ award and thank her for embodying the hard work that helps us deliver outstanding business jet financing services. AsBAA celebrated the fifth anniversary of its annual IOA Awards at the Ocean Park Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong on November 2, 2019. Over 300 members of the business aviation community came together to network, share ideas, enjoy a world-class dinner, and participate in photo ops at this prestigious, black-tie charity gala event. The theme this year was ‘To the Moon and Back – an Intergalactic Ball’ and the Marriott’s ballroom was magnificently transformed with tapestry black-cloth, fuchsia lights, and confetti. Aligning with the theme, the AsBAA Board of Directors delightfully entered the event dressed as astronauts.
The IOA strives to recognize excellence in the business aviation industry and give back to the community. Since 2014, the IOA has raised over $100,000 for AsBAA’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, including donations to Orbis’ Flying Eye Hospital, an innovative hospital-on-wings that travels worldwide training local eye care teams and raising awareness of avoidable blindness.
